EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES
THE AVENGERS THE MOVIES
by Renaud Bédard

This film franchise should remain always true and faithful to the
original 1960's comic books, no matter what, and always honor those that
started it all, at the beginning of every movies with these words, based
on the Avengers by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and the character of Captain
America by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. As for Marvel's Avengers, the movies
should be planned out as a series of films with always a next ones in
mind,
where many characters would appear over time, but always keeping at the
very corps of Earth Mightiest Heroes, the greatest characters like Captain
America, Thor, and Iron Man, with many appearances of Dr Henry Pym as
Ant-Man and Giant-Man, along with the Wasp, and occasionally the Hulk
- INVADERS CONNECTION -
What if some of the old classic superheroes of World War Two, now in the
modern age, were part of some secret organization that were somehow
behind the search effort to find Captain America after his disappearance
at the end of the war, and what if those same people, from behind the
scene, were also somehow responsible in the coming together of the modern
day Avengers, and even helping them from the shadows from time to time,
like angels watching over them, names like Madeline Joyce formerly known
as Miss America, Robert Frank The Whizzer, Dan Lyons The Black Marvel, Jim
Hammond The original Human Torch, Bruce Dickson the Thin Man, Louise Grant
the Blonde Phantom, Keen Marlow The Destroyer, Thomas Halloway the
original Angel, Carl Burgess the original Falcon
- IN THE BEGINNING -
The first movie could start at the end of World War 2, where the legendary
Captain America and Bucky would end up missing in action and presumed dead after
saving millions of innocent lives in a most noble and desperate
self-sacrificing way. After their disappearance, the superhero team of the
time the All Winners Squad, also known as the Invaders, with the original Human Torch, the Sub-Mariner, Miss
America, The Whizzer and others would search for their team leader Captain
America, but without success. Frustrated and in pain over their lose,
members like Sub-Mariner and Human Torch would start blaming and fighting
each other; and pretty soon the second in command of the team Miss America
would shock everyone by announcing that she is quitting. And so the mighty
Invaders without Steve Rogers the one and only true Captain America, the
bond that held them together, the legendary team of the golden age would
apparently
come to an end
Decades later, a new team of superhero would form with some of Earth's
mightiest heroes of the modern age; among them this guy calling himself
Thor who thinks he might have something to do with ancient north gods,
also this billionaire Tony Starks also known as the golden avenger Iron
Man, and Dr Henry Pym known as the astonishing Ant-Man, when he's not
Giant-Man, Janet Van Dyne the Wasp, and Bruce Banner trying very hard to
keep his cool and managing his temper, for not to turn into the incredible
Hulk. The team would seem pretty powerful but with one very essential
element missing, true leadership; that is until the day they discover
floating in the sea, inside a block of ice, the frozen body of what would
appear to be the legendary Captain America still alive, in a state of
suspended animation after so many decades. Earlier, Namor the Sub-Mariner
stumbling on the frozen remains, would not have recognized his old ally,
and would have let the poor man float on the ocean to rest in peace.
Rescued by the Avengers, Captain America would for a moment regain
consciousness, only to hear voices in the back talking about him along
with very blurry visions of a Viking, a man in armor, an insect size woman
and a gigantic pair of eyes over looking at him, before he would fall back
unconscious. Then he would wake up again a few days later, but this time
in an hospital bed, and to avoid shocks, Steve Rogers could have the truth
hidden from him, and his caretakers would try to make him believe he is
still in the 1940's, by showing around him in old fashion clothes and hair
style, with old cars in the streets near by, also using old technologies,
where old music, old time classic episodes, and old news reports could
be heard on the radio, and all this in a
small restricted area of an old city block. But Cap would sense something
wrong, noticing tiny mistakes like a Japanese made watch and a German made
medical tool; and eventually he would escape thinking he was caught by the
enemy still in World War two, and they were trying to get top-secret
information out of him. Once out and running outside of the restricted
zone, Steve Rogers would discover that he is home in a new age and in
reality he is a man very much out of time. Later on, after the solid round shield is
returned, if only as a backup, Captain America would also be given his
modern energy shield
- AVENGERS VERSUS THE HULK -
In a battle against an out of control raging Hulk, the rest of the
Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man, Ant-Man/Giant-Man, and the Wasp would
heroically try to contain him as best they can, where Tony Stark would
enter inside his new Hulkbuster armor and go into hand to hand combat
against him with all hell breaking lose, and eventually the armor would
get damaged and with the Hulk about to crush him, Captain America would
try to get his attention by throwing his shield at him causing the fall of
the huge green monster, but only getting back up angrier and going after
the Captain instead courageously standing his ground and avoiding a few
blows and hitting the Hulk a few more times before being thrown away. And
as Hulk would continue towards Captain America, Dr Henry Pym as the tiny
Ant-Man would buzz around in front of his face, before growing into the
astonishing Giant-Man, and with his immense hand he would pick up the
green monster like an small toy, but Hulk getting angrier would force his
hand open and jump to his throat and start to strangle him, but Henry Pym
would manage to shake him off and try to crush him under his massive feet
instead, but the Hulk would resist and throw him back, and return to bust
his kneecap, where the Wasp in tiny insect size would enter his ear to
electrocute him from inside, deterring the attention for a while, only to
be shaken out by the Hulk, leaving her on the ground open to attacks, as
the master marksman Hawkeye would enter the scene shooting his explosive
arrows at the monster to keep him occupied. And as Captain America still
shaken would get back up to confront again the green monster, it would be
Thor that would finally answer the battle call, and with one swipe of his
hammer would unbelievably send the Hulk crashing through concrete walls.
But with the green monster getting angrier and angrier and even stronger
with every hits, and he would pick up a huge object and with incredible
speed and strength, he would manage to knock Thor unconscious. At this
point the mad Hulk would see Thor's hammer and wanting to use it against
him, he would use all the strength in the world to try to pick it up, but
the hammer would refuse to move off of the ground, as Whosoever holds this
hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of...Thor, and a mad out
of control raging monster wanting to harm the very god of thunder himself
would be denied the power of Thor, as pure strength alone no matter how
hugely strong would never dominate over Mjolnir, and only courage, honor,
heroism, and the sense for truth and justice of a good honest soul could
ever hope to lift it off the ground and use it
Frustrated the Hulk would give up the idea of using the hammer not
understanding how he fail, and Thor awaking but still too weak to get back
up with the Hulk coming towards him to finish him off, he would tell
Captain America to pick up his hammer, and not convinced he could, the
super soldier would nevertheless listen to him and give it a try, and to
everyone’s surprise including the Hulk, Steve Rogers would put one hand
on the hammer and raise it up in the air, where his power would merge with
the one of Thor; and with his red white and blue shield in one hand, and
the enchanted hammer in the other, a different looking Captain America
would strike at the Hulk with all his strength; but in the end the hero
would realize that like pure strength alone could never lift Thor’s
hammer, strength alone could never defeat the incredible Hulk either. And
as Steve Rogers would return to his normal self with the power of Thor
fading away as it would be a bit too much to take for a mortal man, he
would need a clever plan that would bring the green monster under control.
And that is when plan B would come into action for Iron man having made
some repairs to his Hulkbuster armor, he would return into the fight, only
to release in the air a strong tranquilizers gas which would only for a
short moment daze off the Hulk, but long enough to lift him up in the air,
and like a rocket Iron Man would take him up to the sky, not seeing any
other way to save Dr Banner, and he would inform the rest of the team
under radio contact of his intentions to take him all the way out of
Earth’s atmosphere, and if he had just enough time to through him into
the emptiness of space, with Captain America objecting and ordering back
down, and there hade to be an other way to save Dr Banner. But too late,
as the Hulk feeling his live about to end, he would wake up and struggle
with Iron Man in mid-air very close to the edge of space with only a few
seconds more to go, and Hulk would manage to make enough damage on Tony
Stark’s armor to stop his ascension before it was too late, and both
would start to fall back down, with Iron man ejecting from the Hulk Buster
armor and making an emergency landing with failing propulsions and with
the incredible Hulk crashing down, forming a small crater around him. And
rising back up, the Hulk would see the rest of the Avengers all standing
as best they can, ready to continue the fight against him, and for a
moment they would look at each other; but having had enough of this, the
green monster, knowing this one was too close for comfort, he would start
to run towards them and scream to leave him alone, with everyone bracing
themselves for impact, and just a few paces before reaching them, he would
jump in the air and eventually disappear out of sight in the distance and
manage to escape, with the Hulk making good his exit
- RADIO COMMUNICATION -
A radio communication between Iron Man and Captain America would go like
this as Tony Stark in his Hulkbuster armor would attempt to fly the Hulk
right out to the emptiness of space as a final desperate solution to
stop the rampage
Iron
Man:
Avengers, I'm going to end this madness once and for all, and I take
full responsibility
Captain America: Iron Man, bring back down the Hulk right now,
it’s our friend Bruce Banner inside that monster, we got to try to
save him somehow
Iron Man: Captain, you know I respect you very much, and
you’ll always be my favorite hero, but unless you have an other
option to propose right now, I’m going to call this one
Internal Iron Man Armor Female Computer Voice: Twenty second
before reaching space, nineteen, eighteen, seventeen, sixteen, fifteen
And then all
the Avengers would hear is static, with communication
down
Captain
America: Iron
Man! Iron Man! Answer me! What’s going on? Iron Man!
- TENSION RUNNING
HIGH -
Round Two
would have a menacing Hulk having to choose sides and deciding who the
real enemy is; and under the watchful eyes of a TV news crew, the Hulk
would move along side the Avengers preparing to face the Masters Of
Evil, just before the camera would go dead after a last glimpse of one
of the villains throwing a large object at them, leaving only on-air
static and a studio news anchor and co-anchor scared out of their
wits. With the Hulk looking at the brave red white and blue
super-soldier telling him who is the real enemies, for a moment the
tension would run high, when suddenly, the huge green monster would
yell out Avengers assemble, and in an even bigger rage, he would
charge at the enemy in impatience, leaving everyone else behind
looking back at him in astonishment, with only theses words coming out
of Captain America, “Gentlemen, you heard the man”, and Steve
Rogers following in the lead of the green monster towards the Masters
Of Evil
A funny moment might come from this, as seeing the grudge the Hulk
would have towards Iron Man for trying to get ride of him while he was
unconscious, with his plot to fly him into outer space; and with the
potential for the situation to degenerate very fast, Captain America
would order Tony Stark to apologize to the Hulk :-)
- AVENGERS SECOND STRINGERS -
One way to
quickly introduce other important characters like the Scarlet Witch
and her brother Quicksilver, along with Hawkeye, would be to have
cameo for the final scenes of the first Avengers film, where TV news
stations would be broadcasting live from an old mostly abandoned
sector of town, scenes from a titanic fight between the Avengers and
the Masters Of Evil, with Wonder Man switching sides half way in after
learning the truth; and the last images to appear on televisions would
be some super villain throwing a car at the news crew, leaving only on
air static, and worried studio news anchor and co-anchor speechless. And
suddenly, after seeing those last dramatic scenes, from all around the
region, other superheroes would spontaneously come to the rescue,
heroes like the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Hawkeye, Falcon II, and
many others; heroes that would later officially join in future
Avengers films as regular or reserve members
- THE AVENGERS BIG MOVIES PLAN -
No one would
ever be naive enough to think that Earth's Mightiest Heroes The
Avengers would stop after only one movie. Now here is a more realistic
view of what a long term planning of the Avengers film franchise could
be like
- EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES THE AVENGERS 1 -
The first film could have the Avengers
having a few problems with the Hulk, but also more serious problems
with the Masters of Evil, a pure evil collection of super villains, from the Nazi scientist Baron Heinrich Zemo who his own ancestor fought Captain America during World War Two. Also enemies of Thor like Loki, the Enchantress, Absorbing Man, and the Radioactive Man could join in, along with an enemy of Iron Man, the Melter, and one of Giant-Man's original villain, the evil Black Knight Nathan Garrett. The film should also introduce Simon Williams, transformed without his consent by the Masters Of Evil into the super being Wonder Man, to infiltrate and betray the Avengers. But Wonder Man would find a way to rip himself from the dark powers and influence and of the Masters Of Evil, to return to his senses, and eventually turn back against them; and in the end, the hero would appear to die, but Wonder Man would eventually return in future films, to fight again along side Earth's Mightiest Heroes, as a true
Avenger
In the end of the first film, we could witness the astonishing
Ant-Man, Dr Henry Pym during his early work on artificial intelligence
with the birth of his robot Ultron in its first initial phase; and late in
the evening, with a thunderstorm raging outside, at some point in the
procedure as Dr Pym would upload the final program into his machine,
something in the laboratory would go wrong, as temporary electrical
blackouts right in the middle of its initiation would cause a glitch that
would altered the programming. And at the end of the film, from a dark
corner of that laboratory could appear the lights of a semi sinister smile
in that robotic face, as a sign of things to come, heading towards a
sequel of Earth's
Mightiest Heroes The Avengers
- EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES THE AVENGERS 2 -
After seeing Henry Pym's creation Ultron act
strangely, before mysteriously disappearing a few years ago, the robot would return, but somehow changed and evolved, with
an incredible hunger for technological knowledge. Ultron could also learn of the small African nation Wakanda, and more specifically of its rare indestructible metal Vibranium, forcing the Black Panther to reveal himself and join the Avengers
Also in the second film could be revealed the mystery behind the new Vision and the old one from the past created by Jack Kirby in 1940, to be the very same, as somewhere during World War Two, the android might have stop functioning only to be discovered shortly after inactive by Professor Horton who kept it for study. Years earlier, Professor Enoch Mason was the one really responsible for letting the original Vision to cross from his own dimension to ours through a cloud of smoke which in reality was an artificial breach into the beyond between dimensions; and this Vision not only had a sense for justice, but he also had the touch of death, and was going in human form by the name Aarkus, a name that might in the future trigger the new Vision from remembering his past. And after decades in storage gathering dust, it might have been finally stolen from the Professor, at a time when a mysterious Professor Ultron was visiting, someone very hungry for technological knowledge; a strange person never the less that seemed like he couldn't wait to get out of his skin, like his human appearance somehow repulsed him. In reality it would have been the missing Ultron robot created by Henry Pym that had its original programming corrupted possibly during an energy overload; and after taking the original Vision android and half understanding it, Ultron made a few changes and trying to purge his memory banks to reprogram as best as he could. But in battle, Captain America, with images of World War Two still fresh in his mind like it was yesterday, he would quickly notice a resemblance with the old Vision from the 1940's, and establish a possible connection as well as a way to temporary shut it down. With the android, possibly originating from a robotic parallel world, temporarily under the control of the Avengers, Henry Pym in microscopic size would enter the complex machine brain, and before the Vision would be able to escape and rejoin Ultron, Ant-Man would somehow reactivate old backup memories, and in the middle of battle with conflicts in his programming, the android would suddenly shut down completely and reboot to its original Aarkus programming. And seeing what was made of him, what would really be the original Vision, would turn around only to attack with unsuspected powers Ultron, to his own surprise, and eventually destroy it, but not before this version of the evil android would have the time to backup and transferring his memories into computers worldwide, to possibly find a way to return again someday with copies of itself
- EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES THE AVENGERS 3 -
The evil
Celtic sorceress Morgan le Fay along with a huge assembly of
supervillains, would appear in an adaptation of the 1998 classic
Avengers story "Once On Avenger", with the heroes falling
under the power of dark magic, and sent into Middle-Ages-like knights
altered reality, with the Scarlet Witch, apparently the only hope to
defeat Morgan le Fay; but the story would also reveal the spectacular
return of Wonder Man from his apparent death in the first film, taking by surprise Morgan and
helping to save the day for the Avengers, with everything and
everyone returning back to normal
- EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES THE AVENGERS 4 -
Avengers would disassemble following a mystery making Avengers act weird, with strange attacks coming at them, only to discover that the Scarlet Witch is not completely herself anymore and is really behind it all, possibly after
a previous encounter with some dark mystical force, events leading into the House Of Magneto, with a deranged Scarlet Witch shattering with her immense powers all reality,
and turning the whole world into one dominated by a majority of mutants, with her brother Quicksilver at her side and under the leadership of Magneto
himself, and this film turning into a huge Marvel universe crossover event, that would also include X-Men,
Spider-Man and others; But in the end, all would return back to normal, as it was before
- EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES THE AVENGERS 5 -
The Avengers would reform
a team of heroes around their very core Captain America Steve Rogers,
along with Thor the mighty god of thunder, and the invincible Iron
Man; but the Avengers would also possibly bring in new members like Spider-Man,
Wolverine, Sentry and others, after a collection of super villains
would escape an ultra high security prison made especially for them
- EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES THE AVENGERS 6 -
The Avengers would be facing an attack from the future, as Kang, a supervillain time-traveler from the future would wage his time war to conquer and enslave all of humanity, where we could see with every attacks and changes in the timeline, altered versions of the heroes, but still the Avengers would continue to
fight and eventually defeat him, possibly by turning his own technology against him and
managing to send him into the very fare distant future, thousands of years forward to a time where an abandoned
planet Earth, with its population resettled else where, is about to see its old Sun go supernova, with nothing that Kang can do to prevent or escape it
- EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES THE AVENGERS 7 -
A secret invasion would be unveiled, as Earth would be visited by shape-shifting aliens known as the Skrulls, fooling everyone by taking human appearance and try to turn the world against each other. In this story would enter the true Captain Mar-Vell, the legendary galactic hero from the alien Kree Empire, enemies of the Skulls; and the new hero would come possibly with ways to unmask the imposters, and reveal their evil plan to the Avengers and the world. Also could appear the Eternals, a race of the early days of humanity where subjects were experimented on, modified and enhances into superhuman beings by the Celestials themselves ages ago; and now the descendents of those altered men and women still
live on Earth among us, and continue to witness the long human history, with their present leader Ikaris, born more than twenty thousand years ago, also assisted by Sersi, Thena, and others
- EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES THE AVENGERS 8 -
Partly based
on Earth X, the story would lead through some crazy time forward jump
to some twisted catastrophic future of the Marvel universe, where not
only Galactus would return to Earth, but also the Celestials, a very
ancient space race of intergalactic giants; and an old Tony Stark
would take his last stand by trying to oppose the Celestials within
his new gigantic size Iron Man, and after brave efforts he would die
in the attempt. Black Bolt, leader of the Inhumans, with more than
just gentle hypersonic whisper of immense destructive force, he would
yell at the enemy with forces able to shatter planetary bodies. In the
end, all would return to the normal world, proper time, and reality,
as all this could simply be the observations of only one mysterious
being, the Beyonder, witnessing the effects of alterations in time,
before finding a way to restore everything the way it was, and
allowing for one incredible What If type altered reality story event,
an event which could lead into an other, Secret Wars
