THE FASTEST MAN
ALIVE
FLASH THE MOVIES
by
Renaud Bédard

"Jay Garrick is never late"
Right up
front in the beginning of any Flash movies, if anyone has any
respect for anything, those words should always appear, based on Gardner
Fox & Harry Lampert, and the names of those original creators that
started it all should be honored always, along with additional notable
contributors over the years, and no matter what, the very first Flash
movie should very much be about the first original Flash Jay
Garrick, first published in Flash Comics number 1, 1940
The first film could start in the past with the original Flash Jay
Garrick in action, going against a group of super villains with some
bizarre mind control power, and that first chapter would end with the
mysterious disappearance of the hero. And suddenly after a bright flash
of light, we would find ourselves decades later in the modern age with
the story of Barry Allen, a young man in admiration of The Flash, what
he thinks is only an old golden age comic book legend. After getting
struck by lightning in his police laboratory he would find himself with
the same superpower speed abilities as his favorite hero, and take on
the same name, also getting known as the Scarlet Speedster. And one day,
while running at hyper speeds, Barry would produce vibrations at
certain frequencies, where he would be attracted by a sound he never
heard before, and discover, as in Stolen Thunder, in The Life Story Of
The Flash, across the bridge from his hometown Central City a cloaked
city named Keystone City, with all its citizens frozen in time under the
hypnotic continuous soundwaves produced by those legendary villains
known as the Thinker, the Fiddler and the Shade, vibrating the whole
city out of real space... And suddenly, like a giant from the past,
still very much in his prime, the legendary Jay Garrick would immerge
from nowhere, slowing down back to normal speed for everyone to see
- FLASH AT THE SPEED OF GODS
-
What if Jay Garrick really was the descendant of the god Mercury himself, the messenger of the gods, unaware of his true nature and living amongst men, with the laboratory incident years ago that only restored his full superhuman speed ability potential, and turned him into the original Flash; and only decades later, during a death situation that would sure have been more than enough to kill an ordinary human being, but somehow Jay Garrick surviving it, would everything finally be revealed to him, the truth about his ancestry
and the source of his god-like power
-
UPDATING THE ORIGINAL FLASH -
The
original first Flash Jay Garrick created in 1940 could easily have his
costume updated a little to better fit in the modern age. Jay Garrick
could also be able to accumulate static energy caused by friction with
the air while running at hyper speeds, and use it against his enemies;
and while running so fast at extreme speeds, and with all that static
energy surrounding him at high velocity, Jay Garrick could temporary
trigger the opening of portals to other places and dimensions in time
and alternative realities, where he could meet different versions of
himself and of the Flash, in very different worlds
- MY
BARRY ALLEN THEORY -
What if Barry Allen had never
really died to begin with, but
instead he was transformed into pure energy, leaving behind only his
superhero costume where some Kid Flash found it; and Barry could still exist
today, trap in the form of energy in some suspended reality, and he could return
not having aged a single second since his disappearance years ago. With
the help of other speedsters, Barry Allen could make his return, but in
the end, only Jay Garrick the original Flash could cross beyond
realities and somehow manager to bring him back, as the Scarlet
Speedster once did it for him
- JAY
SUPERMAN BARRY -
A discussion
between Jay Garrick, Superman, and Barry Allen, could have the man of
steel asking the original Flash to join his Justice League
team, but Jay would politely decline the invitation by respect for his
own Justice Society team, but at the same time he would recommend this
new guy Barry Allen. Not too sure and with Superman expressing serious
doubts, Barry Allen overhearing the conversation would ask the big
men of steel if he would dare for a little race :-)
