GREEN
LAMA THE MOVIES
by
Renaud Bédard
Created by Kendell Foster Crossen, with the very first appearance in Pulp Magazines’ prose fiction of October 1940, under
the
title Double Detective, the mysterious man in green, with these few ancient Buddhist words “Om Mani Padme Hum” he unleashes incredible powers and becomes the astonishing Green Lama. While in college, millionaire Jethro Dumont became interested in Eastern religion, and traveled for Tibet to learn more. Ten years later, he had learned much more than most would ever do, and had even become a priest, and also had gained vast powers in the process, such as the ability to fly, as well as generate electricity from his body. At that point, he returned to America with his servant Tsarong, where he took up residence on New York's Park Avenue, and decided the best use of his abilities laid in fighting evil, by unmasking the plans of criminal masterminds
Please release as Double Pulp collected editions the early Green Lama stories and artwork from those old classic Pulp prose fictions
