Guestbook

THE MIDDLE MEN
by Renaud Bédard

There is an obviously hole with something definitively missing in North American comic books and films, where most of the times Arabs and middle east men are too often and conveniently for some portrait as the bad guys, and never we really get to see a more global vision of the world in respect and with all it's diversity and cultures; and for that I try to fill this lack by encouraging a change with a different approach with a Middle Eastern action team with no political or religious agenda, and just bringing forward new characters in names if only food for thoughts

Sand Storm - Desert Wonder - Crescent Moon - Carpet Rider

The Traveler - The Black Veil - The Survivor - The Wonderer

An Arabic superhero team composed of people of all religions including Muslim Christians and others; and everyone realizing that what ever their personal feath, it all comes down to the very same God watching over them, and all fighting the same evil hiding behind different facades

I would prefer not focusing so much on the religion aspect of certain characters, not hiding it either, as religion is a choice in faith, a preference if you will, and not a race or a citizenship or a private club, even if some specially in Israel have a problem with the concept at times. I would bring forward more Arabs into comics with stories having nothing to do with Bush's and Republicans' military occupations to free oil and profitable contracts for political buddies, or having anything to do with an other US Corporate Oil War under false pretexts, but just good old fashion fun adventure type local stories where the villain or terrorist wouldn't always be the Arab or Muslim, and where at times it could be the reverse where the white American could be the bad guy
