MIGHTY
GOD OF THUNDER
THOR
THE MOVIES
by
Renaud Bédard

Thor
god of thunder based on Marvel, should be made as a huge powerful
magical and mythical trilogy; and with such universe, rich with so many
characters, I hope that it will be given most important serious
spectacular intelligent clever film treatment
-
SCENE FROM THE FIRST MOVIE -
At
the opening theme, we would travel through time space with images of
stars and nebulas, and approaching a strange world, we would penetrate
its gates to enter inside a huge temple, where in the distance the voice
of an elder would echo, as shadows of Viking warriors would appear on
the walls along side gigantic statues of ancient Gods, and we would hear
someone being banished; and a possible plot against a famous son would
fade out into the night. Back on Earth, Doctor Donald Blake would be
waking up after a stormy night of disturbing dreams of strange but yet
somehow familiar places, to a beautiful morning. Finally arriving to the
medical clinic, Don would invite his girl friend nurse Jane Foster on a
trip to Norway for their vacation, a place he always was drawn to.
There, in a remote region of the country, after witnessing strange
phenomenon in the sky, he would enter a cave and stumble, only to pick
up an old wood cane, and striking it to the ground, something would
happen; and letting go of it, the object would transform into some
ancient Viking war hammer, and for a moment words would appear on it
"Whosoever
holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power
of...Thor"
As for Asgard, it should be from an other
dimension or a pocket universe with its origin back on Earth ages ago,
and only through mystical means could anyone cross over, with strange
things and creatures existing in the passage between worlds; and within
the enchanted hammer Mjolnir, could exist the essence of Odin's best
friend from childhood, godfather to new born Thor, one that heroically
would have died in battle to protect and save Odin's family during his
absence
-
LONG TERM PLANNING -
The
first film, Journey Into Mystery, could have Don Blake in the dark as to
who he really is, with only visions in dreams of a past life, And after
also appearing in the first Avengers film with even more doubts, Thor
would return in his second solo film, War Of The Gods, where all would
finally return to him, including memories of a plot against him by his
step brother Loki; and in the end, his father Odin would sacrifice
himself to save all. In the second Avengers film, Thor would return,
only to enter shortly after into his third solo film, Ragnarok, where
Thor would push his limits to search for knowledge and the truth behind
facades and images, and even beyond death itself, with the destruction
of Asgard; and he would move beyond the light to an even higher level he
never thought possible, where the hero through his courage and faith in
himself would eventually meet the one true God. The hero would return
after to help the Avenger against an immense threat from beyond time
itself, in the name of Kang
-
THE FACE OF GOD -
Even
for those revered and thinking of themselves as gods for their ageless
and immense powers, they eventually discover that they are not alone,
and that there are levels above; and eventually the god of thunder
himself would meet his creator, the one true God, and to honor the work
and the memory of Jack Kirby, God would have his face to speak
“Long ago your people were the first ones to touch me with your
bravery and honor, and you Thor son of Odin have surpassed them all by
finding me; but rest now, god of thunder until the time I ask of you to
return to Earth to be their hero again”
-
RETURN OF THE GODS -
After
the events of Ragnarok and the destruction of Asgard, debris and ancient
artifacts would fall from the sky to Earth, and among them, Thor's
legendary hammer Mjolnir. Over time the region would become high
security restricted area with government scientists and archaeologists
examining everything. But despite their best efforts, they couldn’t
begin to understand that strange enchanted hammer or even getting it off
the ground, even with their most powerful advanced tools. Then the
Avengers would arrive on the scene, with Captain America and Iron Man
fearing the worse might have happened to Thor. Then would approach a
young man, but Captain America and Iron Man would keep him back at
first, warning him of the potential danger and asking for his name and
purpose here. The young man would respond that his name is Don Blake,
and ever since his arrival after answering an emergency medical call, he
felt strange, like he was drawn to this place. Looking into his eyes,
Captain America would feel something familiar, like recognizing an old
friend, and he would let the Doctor through, telling everyone to let him
pass; And to almost everyone's surprise Doctor Blake would grab on to
that hammer and would lift it right off the ground like it always
belonged to him; and the god of thunder would return
