THE WEB MOVIES

Created by John Cassone in July of 1942, The Web would still make today the base for some pretty spectacular live-action films. At the level of the finest Olympic athletes, and with superior intellect, John Raymond, a college professor of criminology, and mystery writer, is also the hero known as the Web. Before joining others heroes like the Shield, the Fox, the Fly, Comet, the Black Hood, and many others, as one of the Mighty Crusaders, John has always been interested in the study of motives and behavior of criminals right from his youth, with the criminal leanings of his brother Tom. On is first day as the Web, Raymond rescues a woman named Rose Wayne from the terrorist known as the Black Dragon Of Death; and Rose eventually discovers his secret identity, and learns of the reasons behind his motivation. The two later married, and eventually the Web retired from crime fighting and settled down into a domestic life with his love one

A few years later the Web comes out of retirement to combat the antics of an imposter. Soon he joined with Captain Flag to form The Ultra-Men. Later, he is sermonized by his wife, who no longer wanted him to risk his live to be a superhero; but despite these criticisms and all the pressure at home to stop, Raymond continues his crime-fighting career in an even more spectacular way, to the frustration of his spouse. To get back at her husband, his wife ultimately decides to train with an other superhero colleague of his, Fly-Man, who finds her very skilled and more than worthy enough to become a true heroine in her own right; and eventually he gives her own costume, and she takes on the identity of Pow-Girl, and starts to fight crime alongside her husband, who is unaware of her real identity :-)

Créé par John Cassone en juillet de 1942, le Web (la Toile) ferait toujours aujourd’hui la base de spectaculaires films d’action. Au niveau des plus grands athlètes Olympiques, avec un niveau intellectuel supérieur, John Raymond, un professeur en criminologie, et écrivain de mystères, est aussi le Web. Avant de se joindre à d’autres héros tels Shield (le Bouclier), Fox (le Renard), Fly (la Mouche), Comet (la Comète), Black Hood (le Capuchon Noir), et bien d’autres, entant que l’un des Mighty Crusaders (les Croisés puissants), John fut toujours intéressé dans l’étude des motivations et comportements des criminels, et cela depuis sa toute jeunesse avec le penchant criminel de son frère Tom. Lors de sa toute première sortie sous le nom du Web, Raymond secoura une femme nommée Rose Wayne des mains d’un terroriste connu sous le nom de Black Dragon Of Death (le Dragon Noir de La Mort); et éventuellement, Rose découvre son identité secrète, et apprends les raisons de sa motivation. Plus tard, les deux se marièrent, et éventuellement le Web prit sa retraite de son combat contre le crime pour jouir de la vie domestique avec sa bien-aimée

Quelques années plus tard, le Web ressorte de sa retraite pour combattre les folies d’un imposteur. Par la suite, il se joint au Capitaine Flag pour former les Ultra-Men. Plus tard, il se fait sermonner par sa femme qui ne veut plus le voir risquer sa vie comme super héros; mais malgré les critiques et pressions à la maison, pour qu’il cesse, Raymond continu sa carrière à combattre le crime d’une façon encore plus spectaculaire, à la frustration de son épouse. Pour se venger de son mari, sa femme entreprend de s’entraîner avec un de ses collègues super héros, Fly-Man, qui la trouve très talentueuse et bien méritante de devenir une véritable héroïne avec tous les honneurs; et éventuellement il lui donna son propre costume et elle prit le nom de Pow-Girl, et débuta à combattre le crime au coté de son mari, qui ne connaissait pas son identité véritable :-)
