WILDCATS
THE MOVIES
by Renaud Bédard

Millennia ago, a
group of Kherubim freedom fighters crashed on Earth. Unable to repair
their vessel, the Kherubim stayed on Earth to protect the natural
inhabitants from the Kherubim enemies, the Daemonites. One of those
stranded had been born a leader to the Kherubim, Lord Emp, and during
his time on Earth he has adopted several names, the last one known being
Jacob Marlowe. Jacob was one of the founding members of Team One, and at
the end, Helspont tried to kill him, but only succeeded in giving the
Kherubim Lord amnesia. For thirty years, Emp wandered the New York City
streets until Void found him and transformed Jacob Marlowe from street
bum to multi-billionaire, and together they gathered the Wildcats

VOID -
Void is one of several humans bonded to objects known as Orbs of
Power. Each Orb is a soul fragment from an elemental being known as
Omina, Mistress of Light. Sometime in the distant future, Omina lost her
final battle to the forces of darkness; but although beaten, she could
not be destroyed by that darkness, and instead, she was shattered across
the multiverse, and pieces of her soul crash landed on Earth. One piece
struck the Russian space station Mir and bonded with Adriana Tereshkova,
and believing her task to help the Kherubims in their war against the
Daemonites, she located Lord Emp in the past and brought him back to
richness and power, so they could build a team of superbeings capable of
dealing with the Cabal. Since the orb exists in infinite time points,
sometimes Void is capable of perceiving the past and the future in a
sort of confusing vision. She can also teleport herself from a point to
another in time and space, traveling through a strange subdomain of
reality, and carry people with her
- SPARTAN -
On the planet Kera the standard protection for an
important member of the Pantheon are the robotic bodyguards name
Spartans. Those robots are trained to fight over any other
consideration, and programmed to serve their master. They can fly, shoot
blasts of energy and have super-strength. Spartan is Hadrian 7, leader
of the Wildcats and was constructed by Jacob Marlowe from Gammoran
technology, and was used to train a team of superbeings that would
become the Wildcats first team. The robot's personality was based upon
the great Kherubim Lord Yohn Kohl, whose heroic battles with the
Daemonites led him to Earth centuries ago, and some say his essence
somehow remains inside the android. In the 1930s, Yohn Kohl assumed the
identity of John Colt, who eventually served as leader for the
government task force known as Team One. Jacob Marlowe, an ally and
friend of Colt's, took aspects of Kohl's personality and transferred
them into the robotic form that became Spartan. Alongside Marlowe,
Spartan helped form the Wildcats to combat the Daemonite threat. Hadrian
and the half-breed telepath Voodoo later became lovers soon after
meeting. During a fight, Hadrian's body was completely destroyed, but
fortunately, he had made a hardcopy of his conscience on a disk, so got
transferred to a more advanced series platinum model, capable of
locating people by smell and analyzing different wavelengths, and many
other things. He had a problem with his new body, as the Coda found a
way to dismantle his memories, but when the plot was discovered, he got
repaired and returned later fully operational. He can also repair and
heal himself, but if the damage is too great, Spartan can simply
download into another body. As an android, Spartan is immune to all
mental attacks and scans. He can also make himself invisible to most
mechanical detection devices, as well as make himself invisible to the
visual spectrum

ZEALOT -
Lady
Zannah of Khera is a full-blooded Kherubim warrior who came to Earth to
fight the Daemonites, whereupon she formed the Coda, a sisterhood of
warrior women. One of the most skillful and deadly warriors among them,
she even was Majestrix on Earth for a time, but during an incident at
Troy she was branded a traitor and was removed from the Coda, who still
want to kill her. Zealot had a close relationship with Grifter. She even
trained him in the Coda way, a privilege no other man has had, but as
she broke his heart, he refused to try again, although he still loved
her. Eventually she became a member of the Wildcats
- GRIFTER -
Grifter or Cole Cash, his true age is a mystery, but it is
known that he was a driver for the mob in his early teens. When he
joined the military, Cole was recruited into a special team of black ops
soldiers exposed to a chemical called the Gen Factor, which gave the
soldiers of Team Seven incredible telekinetic and telepathic powers, but
eroded their moral senses. Rejecting the Gen Factor, Cole left Team
Seven and worked for IO, or International Operations, as an assassin,
but disenchanted with them, he wandered for a while before meeting
Zealot. The two fell in love, and Zealot trained him in the ways of the
Coda, and was the only man to receive such training
-
VOODOO -
Priscilla
Kitaen used to be the main attraction in the hottest strip club in
Georgetown, until one night, she got attacked by a Coda warrior and some
men she saw as monsters; due to her genetic legacy, she was capable of
seeing the true shape of the Daemonites, an ancient alien race who live
on Earth in disguise. Fortunately for her, Grifter was also present, and
after rescuing her, he offered her a chance to join the Wildcats. While
in the group, Pris began to feel an attraction to Spartan, who in spite
of his robotic nature, reciprocated her feelings. The secret of Pris'
powers was discovered as she got shot and went into a coma. Void had to
enter her head to get her back, and there she discovered the truth. Many
centuries ago, the Daemonites kidnapped a Kherubim in an attempt to
create a hybrid, an experiment that proved successful. Unfortunately for
them, the child's mind was mostly Kherubim, and escaped. Priscilla
Kitaen is a gifted one, with the power known as "The Sight"
which enables her to see Daemonites who are possessing humans. It gives
her some telepathic abilities as well, and she also learned to become a
skilled combatant through Zealot's training. Voodoo has demonstrated the
ability to tap into her ancestral Daemonite genes and transform into a
pseudo-human/Daemonite during times of great stress and anger. While in
this form, she does not seem to possess her psychic abilities, but she
has enhanced strength and speed
-
MAUL -
Jeremy
Stone, is a crossbreed that descended from a type of Kherubim known as a
Titanothrope, although for many years Maul did not know of his roots.
These giants all possess to varying degrees the same power that Maul
does. His human form is that of a skinny brainy-looking white guy, but
he can turn into a huge purple beast with horns coming out of his back
in split seconds, but his power can temporary also turn him into an
angry mindless destructive monster; but in his normal state, Jeremy is
normally quite friendly and has an active social life. When the team
went to Kera after the WildStorm Rising incident, Maul had the
opportunity to meet members of his race. It transpired that the Titans
were the original inhabitants of the planet, but were turned into
second-class citizens and were relocated to ghettos by the Kherubim who
took the planet from them. Maul is pretty much near unstoppable with his
ability to exponentially increase his physical mass into a gigantic
fighting beast

MR MAJESTIC -
Lord
Majestros of Khera is a member of the race of Kherubim who lived among
humans for centuries, never socializing much with them. Part of the
warrior clan, he has great power, increased by his way of life, for he
allows himself no weakness, and lives by a very strict code. A long time
ago, a traumatic event possibly the loss of human lives due to his
mistake, made him retire, and he has lived since then in the Arctic
Circle, apart from other beings. However, Savant managed to recruit him
for the second Wildcats team, when the founding group got transported to
Kera and was presumed dead
- SAVANT -
Kenesha, also known as Cordelia Matheson, along with her
sister Zannah, aka Zealot, she forsook her home world of Khera to fight
a desperate war against the intergalactic conquerors, the Daemonites.
Sometime during her travels, Savant and several hundred Kherubim
crash-landed on Earth. and Without a ship or a way to call home, the
Kherubim blended into human society waiting for their Daemonite
counterparts to show themselves. Unlike Zannah, Savant chose to avoid
the ways of the Coda and focused on the study of ancient objects. She
was poisoned and in order to save her, Zealot climbed to the lair of a
powerful witch named Tapestry and offered her any payment in exchange
for Savant's healing. The witch agreed, but asked for a century of
Zealot's life in slavery. During that period, she changed Zealot in many
ways, trying to make her similar to herself, but Zealot managed to
refuse the seducing power. To help her continue, Zealot made Savant
promise that she would kill her rather than let her become what Tapestry
is; and the second time Zealot appeared in their lives, Savant was
forced to possible face that vow. Fortunately, Zealot returned to her
usual self, and Savant didn't have to kill her, but after becoming one
of the Wildcats, she kept in contact, and when they were presumed to be
dead, Savant founded with Mr. Majestic a second team. Although not a bad
fighter, Savant, doesn't match her sister's abilities. Well integrated
in the human world, she works as an archeologist in the Smithsonian
museum; and it is said that one of the wings was totally built by
her grandmother, but considering the life cycle of a Coda, she might
just be that same person pretending her own death in order to be reborn
and avoid suspicions on her true nature. Also, Savant always carries a
bag of mystical objects with special powers
- WARBLADE
-
When Reno was a teenager, Daemonites killed his family right
before his eyes. Since that time, Reno has made it his goal in life to
stop the Daemonites whenever possible; and early in his career, he
worked with Ripclaw, Misery and Killjoy at Cyberdata. Together they made
an unstoppable force, until the telepath Misery used Reno and Ripclaw
against each other. After the battle, Jacob Marlowe found Reno stumbling
through a Gamorran jungle. Taking him back to New York, Jacob removed a
computer chip that was controlling Reno's actions, and convinced him to
work for the Wildcats. As a master of the martial arts, and operating as
Warblade, Reno can be very impulsive and deadly, and can turn his body
parts into a bio-molecular high intensity steel, which he can form into
any shape he desires; and his most common attack is to form his hands
into bio-organic claws, but he is capable of other variations such as
covering his body in spikes. Warblade is also capable of manipulating
his bio-molecular metal in such a way as to create a negative zone
immediately around him that renders him immune to all forms of radar
