X-MEN THE MOVIES
by Renaud Bédard

All in respect with the original X-Men and their original creators Stan
Lee and Jack Kirby, it would be nice to see all original members
together right at the very beginning, possibly in a relaunch, since the
idiocies of the Last Stand which should simply be ignored. And could be
revealed that Professor Xavier has known those original members for a
long time, and characters like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, and
even a very young Iceman have gone on missions together in the very
beginning, and that occasionally even though some took their distances a
little from the team, and even thought they might not act like it
publicly, they still kept ties together, even with secret meetings. And
possibly at an even lower level underground where few would know
anything of, for even higher security reasons in case of possible
infiltration, underneath there could be an even more vast and advanced
complex possible with off world ties, only known by the original Men of
Xavier, but about to be found out by some newer members like Wolverine
Storm Colossus, Rogue, Nightcrawler and others, growing more and more
suspicious and curious of some disappearing and re-appearing in certain
sections of the institute, and maybe that would be how a young Iceman
years ago accidentally found his way to the original X-Men
-
CYCLOPS ORIGIN -
Could it be possible
that before Scott Summers met with Professor Xavier, he could have hurt others
by accident, and cause a lot of damage with his optical blast; in the
very beginning, could the boy then, have been a walking time bomb with
his power ready to immerge. Even now knowing his immense power
within him he is still a great risk to all. In his youth, could the
first manifestations of Scott Summers mutant power have cause serious
injuries; something that could still be haunting him deeply today right
into his nightmares, with his biggest fear to accidentally hurt others
again, even friends and love ones. Even the thought of ending his very
own life as a young teenager might have passed through his mind way back
then to make sure he would never hurt any innocents ever again; and
possibly at the time his little brother Alexander might have had
something to do in helping him
- HOUSE OF
MAGNETO -
The
best Marvel crossover event that could ever be made would be a nice next
eventual logical step for Marvel Films, after the mess of The Last
Stand is fixed, and finally bring together in one mega huge movie event
their finest from X-Men, Avengers, Spider-Man and others, in a story
like House Of M that would see continuity and the future of all of
mankind altered to the extreme, with only a single thought from the most
powerful mutant on Earth, daughter of Magneto, a delirious Wanda
Maximoff the Scarlet Witch, after the events of Disassembled and
influenced by her brother, would change the existence of everyone on
Earth simply by changing probabilities. The only difference with the
graphic novel is that all would return exactly as they were in the
beginning
- CAPTAIN AMERICA &
WOLVERINE -
With
studios playing nice with each other, it could be conceivable to have
other Marvel character cameos appearing in eachother's, and two heroes
immediately come to mind, Logan, aka Wolverine, and the Steve Rogers,
the super-soldier known as Captain America. With the two heroes during
World War Two, Logan a Canadian soldier, and Rogers in the US Forces,
both could first meet by accident during a special mission to free
prisoners heading towards a German death camp. Maybe such cameos could
be a little cameo time trade arrangement, with the possibility of
Wolverine and Captain America, but also Avengers Versus X-Men, where
only good would prevail
- ALPHA FLIGHT -
The Alpha Flight an all-Canadian superhero team from the Marvel
universe, which first appeared in the X-Men comics, could make an interesting
appearance, with characters like Guardian, Vindicator, Puck,
Aurora, Shasquatch, Snowbird, Shaman, Northstar and even Wolverine. And
to spice things up a little with a bit of comedy and je ne sais quoi,
how about a Canadian actor like William Shatner to play the role of the
Canadian Prime Minister, a man a little lost in a funny kind of way, in
his own parliament :-)
And possibly during a visit to Canada for an international conference on environment and the world economy, the President of the United States Of America would fall under terrorist attack of an international right wing extremist group, where as a last desperate
measure, after all else has failed, the Canadian Prime Minister, with an
agressive look in his eyes, he would give
the order with these simple words to his chief of security,
“Code
Weapon Alpha, call in the Guardian”
PS: Please release in hardcover edition the Alpha Flight Marvel Masterworks volume 1,
possibly including their first appearances X-Men 109 of 1978, and X-Men
120 & 121 of 1979
